Fairmont West Virginia is a recipient of the 2010 Great American Main Street Award

Main Street Fairmont is one of five winners selected by the National Main Street Center, which is part of the
National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington DC.

Fairmont City Manager Jay Rogers
said Main Street Fairmont is a perfect fit for the criteria of the Great American Main Street Awards.  "There's been a very steady progression by the organization to help foster new jobs and growth in downtown," he said "it seems to have gone to another level throughout the years with their events and their beautification projects."
